Toothpod Co-Founder Vishar Yaghoubian recently attended the BetaKit Town Hall event held on May 7, 2024, where she had the opportunity to listen and meet with Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke.
The event, held at the University of Toronto’s Myhal Centre, gathered 500 members of Canada’s technology community, including major VC firms, tech founders, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs from across the country.
During the event, Lütke emphasized that Canadian industries often lack the ambition and courage needed to compete on a global scale, urging Canadian entrepreneurs to aim higher.
Vishar (Toothpod Co-Founder) particularly resonated with Lütke’s insights. The call for greater ambition aligns closely with her mission for Toothpod, which is committed to pushing boundaries in creating accessible oral care and solving the prevalent issue of tooth decay globally. Vishar had the opportunity to discuss this mission with Lütke during their meeting.
